Selection of Plot is a critical issue and important event in ones life. The concept is people assumes North and East facing plots are better the other directions. This is not true, Vaastu Says all directions are important. All directions consists their own significance. The negative or positive vibrations depends upon the elemental placement as per Vaastu in the house.

Selection of Plot depends upon multiple factors like – Site Direction, Soil type, Plot shape and Surroundings.

Some Vaastu tips in Selection of Plot:

  1. Always choose Square or Rectangle outline plot.
  2. Plot dimensions – more length in East and West are good for construction.
  3. More open space in South part is not good.
  4. More open space in Southern part will create some sort of problems to the residents.
  5. The sloping of the site should always be towards North or east or Northeast.
  6. Avoid irregular shape plots OR make it rectangle in shape.
  7. Business person can purchase a South facing plot.
  8. People those working in Social services can choose a West facing plot, which is good for them.
  9. Never purchase the Plot / Land from those suffering from prolonged Sickness, became Insolvent or Bankrupt.

Geography and Surroundings in Selection of Plot:

  1. Falling of shadows of the temples and trees nearby on the main building brings undesirable problems.
  2. A Temple, Church and Mosque should be in front of Plot / House. This situation should make the resident constantly disturbed.
  3. According to Vaastu Shastra, productive plot surrounding with greenery is supposed to be Auspicious.
  4. Avoid the Plot adjacent to Graveyard, Tomb, School, College and Cinema Theater.
  5. The inmates of such houses will always have a fear and lack in peace of mind.
  6. Don’t purchase a plot, in which rain water from the roof of the neighbourhood house falls in your plot.
  7. There should not be any Tall building in the North of your plot / house. This could be spoil the mental peace of residents.
  8. High rise buildings in South, West or Southwest of the plot / house are good.
  9. The Plot / Rivers on the West OR South direction of the plot is not good.
  10. Water flowing in Northeast part of plot / house is good.
  11. Never purchase a Plot in between two huge buildings.
  12. Avoid the Plot / House at “T” – junction (Plot at Vidhi-Shula)
