Things to Avoid at Main Entrance Door / Gate

Having the right Main Entrance Door of the house is important factor Vaastu says. This posses the capability of change your life life by bringing in Good-Luck, prosperity and better relationship.

According to Vaastu, these are some important things to avoid at the main entrance / gate:  

• Keep the Entrance gate heavier and bigger than other doors in the house.
• Strict NO to any Obstructions in front of the entrance gate
• Never keep underground water tank or septic tank under the main entrance Gate or Door.

• Keep the entrance area Clean, Neat and Clutter free.
• Avoid Irregular shape gate.
• Colors for main entrance must be according to the Vaastu principles of that particular direction.
• Use neutral colors (cream, off white) for the main entrance irrespective of directions.
• Avoid Red color for Main entrance gate.

Dark colors: Never use black or other dark colors for exterior of house as per Vaastu.  

Negative symbols: Avoid using paintings or symbols which defines ferocity, grief near the main entrance door.

Overhead water tank: It is not recommended of placing an overhead water tank above the main entrance. 

Mirrors: Do not place a mirror opposite to the main entrance as it bounces back the energy entering the house.  

Dustbin, broken furniture: Avoid keeping a dustbin, broken furniture near the entrance.

Vaastu recommends the main entrance door of the house should be in these directions which are Ideal:

• Northeast: This is the most auspicious direction as it’s exposures to the morning sun
• North: The second-best direction, related with high energy levels which brings in affluence to the inhabitants

Which direction should Avoid For Main Entrance Door?

• South: This direction is considered inauspicious for house entrances. If obvious, prefer a Southeast – South entrance to lessen negative effects
