1. Babul Plant (Acacia Arabica)

Babul, with its thorny branches, is bad in the Vastu Shastra, and general thought is presence of thorns inside house can produce negative energy and prevents free in-flow of positive energy.
2. Banyan Tree (Ficus benghalensis)

Hindu consider this plant as a ethical, but never grow in inside or near the house.
It’s Vaastu or not, the Banyan tree has deep roots with long life. Growing them in a tub or on a roof would not last long, their roots would collapse the building. Added fact is that one should never sleep under this tree. The science and logic is, this Banyan tree releases Carbon Dioxide (CO2) at night. Everyone knows it will lower the Oxygen levels. However, one can keep this tree in “bonsai” form if they want.
3. Cactus
Avoid the thorny plants like Cactus inside the house or in the House yard. These plant contains elusive energy in them. If placed inside the House it paves the way to harshness, disagreements and fear from enemies. Vaastu – Shastra allows a few sensitive plants in the house, the Rose is among them.
4. Caladium
Caladium plant popular as “Elephant Ear” is famous for their colorful leaves pattern.

5. Cotton Plants (Gossypium spp.)
Vaastu considers cotton plants are inauspicious inside the house. Though its a raw material and important in Textile production. 6. Dead or dying plants

7. Dieffenbachia

8. English Ivy (Hedera helix)

9. Lilies

10. Mehndi plants (Lawsonia inermis)
Mehndi OR Henna, is a plant which have a cultural and has traditional importance. Its active qualities are Bad according to Vaastu – Shastra. This Plant emits bad energy and works as a disruptive agent.
